A Pathway from Housing Instability to Independence

Better Hope, Inc. is developing the Better Hope Village Transitional Housing as a long-term community development project to provide safe, stable housing and supportive services for individuals and families experiencing housing instability.

The project is part of the larger Better Hope Board Members vision—a community designed to connect housing with family support, education, employment, life-skills development, and other resources that help people move toward long-term stability and independence.

Over the next three years, Better Hope will work toward transforming the property into a fully functioning community resource and development center. Each phase will build upon the previous one, beginning with essential property and infrastructure improvements and progressing toward expanded housing, education, workforce, recreation, and community facilities.

The goal of the Better Hope Village Transitional Housing Project is to provide residents with a supportive environment while they work toward permanent housing and greater self-sufficiency.

Each resident's circumstances are different. Services will therefore be guided by individual needs, goals, strengths, and available community resources.

Our Approach

Transitional housing is more than providing a place to stay. Better Hope's approach is to help residents address the barriers that may have contributed to their housing instability while building the skills, resources, and connections needed for their next step.

Residents will have access to supportive services and connections to community resources based on their individual needs.

Transportation Resources — Community Connections — referrals and partnerships with providers: healthcare, benefits, childcare, and other essential resources.
