Do I have to be homeless to receive help?

No. Better Hope can assist people who are currently homeless as well as those who are at risk of losing housing or experiencing other significant barriers to stability.

Do I need an appointment?

No, you can apply online for services by completing the Better Hope Resource Center Request for Assistance Form. A Better Hope team member will review your request and contact you regarding available resources and next steps.

What types of assistance are available?

Yes. Better Hope provides services and resource connections for young adults and individuals of all ages. Youth under the age of 18 may be eligible for assistance or referrals; however, parental or legal guardian permission may be required before services can be provided.

Can families receive assistance?

Yes. Better Hope is committed to supporting individuals and families and connecting them with resources that promote housing stability, family well-being, education, and economic opportunity.

Does Better Hope provide food or basic-needs assistance?

No, not directly. Better Hope connects individuals and families with community resources that may provide food, clothing, hygiene supplies, transportation assistance, and other basic-needs support.

Can someone who is unsheltered receive help?

Yes. Individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness can seek assistance and referrals through Better Hope's supportive service network.

Can Better Hope help with employment or education?

Yes. The Resource Center can connect individuals with employment, workforce development, educational, GED, job-readiness, and training opportunities when available.
